Bottomless Brunch at Sohe Newcastle

Thai food and bottomless bubbly… what more could you ask for?

Thai food has slowly become one of my favourite cuisines and at the weekend we were exclusively invited to Sohe in Newcastle to try their new Bottomless Brunch Menu.

Based on the hugely popular Osbourne Road in Jesmond, Sohe offers everything you’d expect from a Thai restaurant and more. From arrival, the interior of the place is very luxurious with a relaxed atmosphere.

With a huge round bar, you instantly sense they know how to make a cocktail or two! We were greeted straight to our table and ordered two Aperol Spritz to begin our 90minute experience.

What does the Bottomless Brunch include?

Sohe’s Bottomless Brunch is available on weekends and includes unlimited servings of the likes of prosecco, Aperol Spritz and for food, you receive a starter platter and a main dish each.

This is £30.95 each which we soon realised was well worth the money! Once we had our Aperol’s we sat back and tucked into our Thai crackers and sweet chilli dip.

The servers at Sohe were really helpful and would order you another drink as soon as it was going low, so you were never empty-handed.

During our visit, I tried the Yuzu & Jasmine Spritz which was very refreshing alongside a few glasses of prosecco. Bob stuck to Aperol Spritz which became our favourite drink when we got engaged in Venice.

Our starter platter soon arrived for us to share. This includes chicken satay with peanut dip, vegetable spring rolls with sweet chilli dip and chilli squid. These went down a treat!

For our mains, I went for the Katsu Chicken Curry and Bob went for the Lamb Massaman Curry. Both came nicely presented with plenty on offer. We both really enjoyed our dishes and we were left full and satisfied.

We still had room for a couple of glasses of prosecco to wash them down though! For 90 minutes it didn’t go quick at all. It was nicely paced and food arrived quickly too.

Overall we both really enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend it to anyone in the area. The drinks alone were worth the price tag so the lovely food on top, you can’t complain at all!

Make a night of it!

After our meal, we headed back to our apartment for the night. We stayed at 91 Aparthotel on Jesmond road. This apartment is very stylish and ideal if you want to stay in the area. It’s a 5minute taxi to Sohe, or just a stone’s throw away to Newcastle city centre.

The one bedroom studio we stayed in featured a full kitchen and living room as well as a bathroom and bedroom. We instantly thought this would be a great pre-drinking place before your night out in Newcastle. Cairn Collection recommends this studio for couples and we’d agree! The refreshments hamper is always a great touch for feeling just at home.
