OOTD | Boohoo Style Swap

You’ve been living under a rock for the past few years if you haven’t heard of online fashion boutique: Boohoo. They are killing it lately for festival styles and summer loving. So you can imagine how excited I was to receive an email off them. Boohoo asked me if I would like to take part in their Style Swap (#WeAreUs). This meant chosen UK bloggers and Parisian bloggers swapped their styles. As simple as that. I gave all my details on sizing ect and they matched me with Parisian blogger Constance!

So I picked a Boohoo outfit for her and she picked one out for me, I guess you could say we were personal stylists for each other. This seemed such a good campaign to get involved in! I’m not going to lie It was a little daunting waiting for it to be delivered as I had no clue what she had picked. and above is what I received!

The Skater dress is a style that I’m a bit hit and miss with, sometimes it looks flattering on me, sometimes it doesn’t. It felt comfortable on but I felt it made me really top-heavy! It would have been better if it was in a different colour, If I was to purchase this dress I think I would go for a nice coral or orange! White is not usually a colour I’d get for a dress, probably because how clumsy I am so it was nice to be out of my comfort zone and embrace it!

The heels were also a new style for me! I tend to go for platform shoes as if I’m honest, I cannot walk in high heels. These stilettos – my immediate reaction was ‘how am I going to walk in these?’ I was totally wrong, they actually were really easy to walk in, sturdy and comfortable. I’d probably have to sit down after an hour but it was great to finally try this style on and work it!

To accessorize and finish off this monochrome outfit, I also got a black and silver diamanté necklace and a fuchsia pink fringed day bag !

I’m chuffed that Boohoo picked me to take part in their style swap! It’s great to see different approaches to fashion in different countries, this outfit is something I wouldn’t tend to pick for myself but I’ve definitely (tried to) embrace it. It’s been fun acting as a stylist for my French Counterpart.
