Halloween with Makeup Revolution

This was the first time I’ve been able to attend a Makeup Revolution event so you can imagine how excited I was. I travelled down with Amber Howe and Luce Stephenson and as we we’re reaching London, we had a lovely message from Hask Hair! They noticed we’d be in the city and invited us to the Duck & Dry salon on Oxford Street for a complimentary blow dry and 1-1 with Celebrity stylist Dean Banowetz. How amazing?!

We we’re welcomed with fizz and had our hair pampered with numerous Hask products. Did you know Hask is used on more Hollywood film & TV sets than any other hair brand? Me neither but I can totally see why with the softness and shine on my hair.

I absolutely loved the curly blow dry, I felt like I had princess hair all day and night. It was so lovely to chat to Dean as well, he went through all the products and picked the best ones for my hair type. His clientele is the likes of Simon Cowell, Zac Efron and also works on American Idol to name a few so we’re a little starstruck. I’ll definitely be reviewing the hair range soon.

Anyway we had a bite to eat and headed to our hotel to get ready for the Makeup Revolution Halloween Party…

The dress code for the night was ‘frighteningly glamorous‘ so I decided to go for a bodycon sequin dress from River Island paired with a clutch and stilettos from Ego shoes. For my makeup I went for a dark smoky eye and deep purple lipstick! We arrived to a HUGE venue kitted out with all things Halloween.

The decor of the venue was amazing, especially with the Creepy Convent upstairs, Makeup Revolution went all out on the haunted house theme! We had an open bar so the cocktails we’re constantly flowing and the food was delicious also.

It was so nice to have the opportunity to meet bloggers I’d been chatting to online for ages and have a good dance with everyone! Adam Minto, the owner of MR was great to chat to as well – we had to get a photo with the men himself!

We left the event around midnight and on our way out we got a great goodie bag too filled with Halloween makeup treats! I’m looking forward to attending their Birthday party next year which will be in March!

The next day we got up bright and early and checked out to have a spot of shopping on Oxford Street before getting the coach back.

As I’m sure everyone is aware, Stranger Things season 2 started on Friday 27th Oct. We went along to Topshop on the day of the premiere to check out the merchandise. The three floors we’re filled with props from the TV show and even the window displays had a Stranger Things theme – hopefully you’d of seen it on my Instagram story.

Overall I had a fantastic two days in London and what better way to celebrate Halloween than a glamorous event hosted by Makeup Revolution! Thank you for inviting me and a huge thank you to Hask Hair for pampering us…

Have you watched Stranger Things yet?
