I’m going on holiday in less than two weeks so what better excuse than to share what beauty picks I’ll be taking with me!
Aside from the excess amount of suncream, I always love taking stuff away with me to pamper with and make sure I achieve that sunkissed look at all times. So today I’ve included a handful of items I’ll be taking with me and I think they should be in your suitcase too!
So a new haircare brand I’ve been introduced to recently is Design.Me*. These pastel coloured bottles give you that salon quality hair at home. Just think of that blowdry hair and voluptuous volume – yeah they do just that. So the Fab.me bottle is the mother of all hair treatments. I dunno about you but long days in the sun and swimming pool water can play havoc on my balyage so this treatment is perfect in keeping it look glossy. The Puff.Me on the other hand gives you that volume you deserve! It’s perfect for medium to thick hair and you just add the powder into your hands and rub into your roots.
Speaking of volume a waterproof mascara is a must for holiday! I have the original Lancome Monsieur Big but when I went to Budapest in May I picked up the waterproof version. I absolutely love this. It didn’t budge all day when I was underwater and didn’t flake or print onto your skin. If you’re after a new mascara I’d definitely say this is worth trying. I also have to mention Revolution’s Renaissance Flick Eyeliner. This is a bargain for £5. I’ve definitely been converted from the Lancome Grandoise eyeliner. This applies so easy with the felt tip application and glides over glitter too. Its matte so it lasts ages!
I love buying a new perfume in the airport but this time I won’t need to! I recently purchased the Tom Ford Velvet Orchid perfume and its quickly become one of my ultimate favourites. It’s definitely replaced my Marc Jacobs Decadence for the scent and long wearing of the fragrance. If you fancy a ‘treat yourself’ moment I’d definitely recommend trying this. What’s summer without a colourful eyeshadow palette! Of course the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette has it all for warm tones and beautiful metalics. I wore this all summer last year so how could I not take this away with me again?!
I’ll be taking plenty of skincare with the obvious choices of sun cream, aftersun and facial oil but I’m currently loving the Hempz Sea Salt body scrub. I know your probably thinking a body scrub with sunburn? Well this is a creamy consistency so isn’t harsh on the skin. It smells incredible too! The lovely gals at All That Jazz kindly sent me their Caribbean Collection and I love the ‘Don’t be jerky’ nail polish. It’s such a pretty coral with speckles of glitter. My toes will definitely be holiday ready!
